ICP experienced a predominantly bearish trend throughout most of 2023. However, the recent ups and downs prompt a closer look at the Internet Computer price prediction for 2024.

Starting in July 2023, ICP buyers were relatively weak, as evidenced by its inability to move past $4.5. A rejection at this level prompted a decline to the lowest price floor at $2.8 in mid-September. 
 

The low was a catalyst for the bulls, who launched a more effective rally in October. This momentum carried into the following months as the altcoin moved past significant barriers to reach the peak resistance of $15.3 in late December.

The test caused a slight retracement to $11.0 in early January, triggered by the asset’s overvaluation. Nevertheless, the uptrend resumed by month’s end. Repetitive tests of the highest barrier in March culminated in the asset surging over this threshold by month’s end to go as high as $20.9.

As the broader market bled in Q2 2024, so did ICP. A substantial drop drove it back to $11.0. This level became a constant target for sellers as the price struggled to stay above it. Consequently, ICP lost its double-digit valuation by June. 

Consecutive red candles brought it to a low of $6.6 in July. This was followed by a swift recovery aimed at reclaiming $11.0. As the analysis concluded, ICP exchanged hands at $10.3. 

Given the dominant bearish presence, the likelihood of sell-offs at the current resistance cannot be overlooked. In this case, the resilience of $6.6 might be tested in the short-to-medium term. Meanwhile, a further drop to $4.5 or the yearly low remains a possible outcome. 

In a probable bullish reversal, ICP would need to regain standing over $11.0. A move above the yearly high peak can put $17.0 next on the buyers’ radar. Crossing above it could set the stage for aiming at more ambitious bullish targets, notably the psychological threshold of $20.0.

The prediction models project modest growth for ICP, with an average price of $50 by 2028. Achieving a three-digit valuation is a realistic goal by 2031 as the average price soars to $125. • The trading volume recovered from October. After surging with the December price pump, it dropped again in mid-January. Despite the following rally, the volume rose briefly before returning to its low state, highlighting a lack of investor conviction.
• The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) line and the signal line started below the zero line. The former retained the submissive position till mid-October, albeit with a brief surge in August. 
• Simultaneously, both the lines began rising, with the MACD line moving over the zero line in December and the signal line following suit by mid-month. This ascension was reversed in April as the MACD line declined, forming a bearish crossover mid-month. 
• By late June, the MACD line turned negative. The latest recorded values were MACD at -0.440, the signal line at 0.046, and the histogram at -0.486. The former’s recovery highlighted a weakening downtrend. 
• The Bollinger Bands began the period contracted. By late October, the price flipped the 20-week Moving Average (MA) into support. It even crossed the upper band frequently between December and January and late March and April, triggering an expansion.
• This bullish phase waned by late April when the price dipped below the 20 MA, causing the bands to contract again. However, the price’s contact with the lower band from mid-June to early July reversed the contraction. This overselling spree triggered a price recovery as it rose to move closer to the 20 MA at press time, indicating a resurgence of buying pressure.
